A very dense hardwood characterized by its striking "calico" color contrast, featuring Extreme color variations, light to medium brown, sometimes reddish heartwood mixed with distinct creamy white to yellowish sapwood. The grain is typically straight but can be wavy or irregular, frequently featuring, dark mineral streaks and striking contrasts that give it an exotic, rustic look.
