Brazilian Cherry also known as "Jatoba" a highly durable and exotic hardwood we call a "Specialty Wood" freshly milled heartwood is a salmon-orange brown, but it oxidizes rapidly wen exposed to light, deepening into a rich luxurious cherry-red to reddish-brown. Jatoba has a fine to medium texture with an interlocked grain pattern, often featuring darker, striking mineral streaks. Very hardy and offers an upgrade from American Cherry in color and richness. Jatoba is an exotic with a more pricey price tag but well worth the investment.
